Here are some frequently asked questions; please get in contact to find out more!
How long are my sunbed minutes valid for?
When you purchase sunbed minutes at Helios Tanning Studio (GY), your minutes are available until you use them; they do not expire.
How much time do I have to leave between each tanning session?
The amount of time between sessions differs depending on skin type and whether you are developing or preserving a tan. We recommend not to use more than one session within 24 hours. The reason for this is that the process of building a tan can take 24 hours to complete; therefore, this decreases the danger of over-exposure and also increases your tanning results.
How long does it take to build up a tan?
Developing a tan depends on skin type and the condition of the skin. Dry skin reflects light, and as the skin cells shed more often, any tan developed may not last. Fair skin tans quicker, whereas medium and dark skin types are much more resistant to the tanning process, meaning more sessions may be required. The time needed to develop a tan differs depending on numerous elements; typically, it takes between three and five sessions to establish a base tan.
You can increase your tanning potential by making sure the skin is thoroughly exfoliated and moisturised. We sell a wide variety of tanning lotions that encourage the tanning process and replaces moisture lost during your tanning session.
